This was our second tour with my parents. Cat was extremely accommodating and they were able to walk into an empty Gaston model, which was extremely helpful to my parents. Cat has graciously and quickly replied to my numerous emails and texts for additional information. Portside is lucky to have Cat on their team.

Portside is a beautiful facility. Bravo. Unfortunately people get caught up in how beautiful of a place it is and never really pay attention to how they facility is ran. The management team leaves a lot to be desired. Never in my life of working in ALFs have I ever ran across a group of lying, conniving, deceitful human beings. Michaela Grobski, Tracy Stone, and Francesca Geathers I hope that each and every one of you ladies reap exactly what you have sown. Your evil deeds will not go unpunished. These women are responsible for unfairly targeting several employees at Portside. One woman ended up in the hospital due to the stress they caused her. Real life mean girls. Sue in HR is just as guilty because even when she knew their actions were wrong she sat by and said nothing.

One thing I can say about this place is you can feel the love and care in every resident and staff member. The kitchen staff do such a good job and bend over backwards for people so they can get the best service and the staff who’s there for people are so wonderful and nice and they truly Care what they do and they help one another this is a place where Love is the definition of facility

My Mother in Law & now my father are residents at Portside. The administration to every level of employment on their staff is unsurpassed in an effort to make not only the residents comfortable but to each of the families or loved ones the residents. Professionalism at its highest. Strongly recommend Portside at Grande Dunes for the best care for your loved ones!

Portside is a new addition to Grand Dunes. I visit someone who lives in the assisted living building and it is absolutely beautiful! The \apartments\ are quaint and very private compared to large hospital rooms. Each has a separate livingroom, bedroom and bath with walk in shower. There is a refrigerator but no stove though you can bring a microwave oven if you choose to. You'll have to supply your own furniture, dishes, television, et., if you want those things. The community dining room is gorgeous! Visitors can also dine for 15. which I think is a bit steep but from what I understand, the food is very good and the portions are quite filling. My resident says, \They're always feeding us. Everytime I turn around it's time to go and eat.\ There is a calendar of activities. There are buses for appointments and shopping trips and plenty to do in the building if you're looking to stay busy. Construction is well underway for independent living. Portside is a wonderful facility. It's on the high side price wise but if you need it and can afford it, why not go for it? The least you should do is go on a tour.
