The service was great me and my friend were staying in a hotel and fancied an Indian. I rung up and they fitted us in last minute, service was great. We went for a chicken tikka the meal was beautiful freshly cooked the chicken was beautiful.

Firstly i would like to give this place no stars but unfortunately i am unable to do so...After reading several reviews and being from a Town that has some of the best indian restaurants i was so devestated to have spoilt my evening while in Portsmouth...The service was very good staff was very friendly and place was ever so quiet only 1 other family there...We ordered a few dishes including some starters and biryani, chicken bhuna, paneer and lamb chops..After requesting my drink (cola) to be changed which was totaly flat and tasteless the food arrived, plates where quiet dirty not something you would expect in a restaurant and it was the most nastiest food i have ever been served in a restaurant the lamb chops were salty and over cooked, the rice in biryani was ever so cheap lacking flavour, the bhuna was just full of raw onions and the paneer was cheddar cheese not paneer...I was fuming to have to pay for the food that would cost over 50 and was just tasted and not taken back with me either.. they did however discount the price of 1 dish and we paid 40 and left on an empty stomach...If you know your real indian food then this is not the place for you.
We ordered a meal for 2 today. Overall it was good and the spice was excellent. My only issue was concerning the lamb. Which was either a cheap cut, or cooked to quickly as it was far to chewy. Shame really as everything else is fine. Would choose another main part if I ordered from here again..
Great food every time. Really enjoy the Chicken Tikka Vindaloo. Spicy but loads of flavour.
