Delightful house. Very little actual time was spent in this place. But nevertheless, it's well worth a visit. Narrow stairway. Friendly staff. Toilets. Souvenir shop.

Short stay in Portsmouth dedicated to this place! From the kind people that welcome you, to the details kept in this museum - truly amazing to walk around the 3 floors and have peak into the life back in the days and the life of Charles Dickens! The souvenirs are just the right amount and not commercial at all. Thank you!

Lovely place to visit on a day out - well worth the walk from the busier parts of town. Nice, peaceful road to walk down then into a beautiful house that really captures the feel of a different period. Worth reading all the display boards. The shop downstairs has some nice gifts and souvenirs. The staff were very helpful and eager to chat!

Charming museum - quaint and touching without being tacky. To see the couch on which Dickens died was quite moving. Lovely gift shop too. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff, most friendly, great little shop. Great items to view, a most unassuming little place to find but we'll worth a visit lovely place
