First time visit. Service was very welcoming & wasn't rushed to make our choices. Didn't have to wait too long for our meal to be served & for what we had we were pleasantly surprised at the total bill. Enjoyed the whole experience & would recommend.

Great restaurant for a tasty quick lunch. Only 6.95 for a curry with Bombay potato, rice and salad and really generous portions. Always plenty of seating and great friendly staff. Never been in the evening but a favourite for lunch. A real hidden gem!

Visited with a colleague while working in Portsmouth. Restaurant is somewhat tucked away in a corner on the first floor of the mall. Quite spacious and fairly neutrally decorated. Staff were polite enough if not overly engaging. Prices were reasonable and there was a sufficient range of dishes (but not overly extensive). No particular complaints about the food itself - I had lamb dhansak and it seemed like lamb to me (see a previous post). Would visit again if in the area.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE What an utter joke. Filthy glasses, beat up old cutlery, rude waiter. Took ages for food to arrive, then it was stone cold. Waiter took rice away and microwaved it, by the time he finally returned the main dish was cold. The food looked totally unappealing and insipid. What an awful experience.

Visited there for the first time and I found the food to be cold and tasteless, the bill at the end was a tad pricey too. If you are visiting here and have an allergy, be careful..when I asked the waiter is this gluten free they said 'I think so' on the menu it states to let them know if you have an allergy. Now I have a funny stomach (either dodgey food or food with gluten in)

Horrible restaurant I have ever been to. I have been there twice or thrice and everytime the experience is worse than previous one. Staff not at all customer friendly. They have set of rules which we need to follow. They treat Indian customers very badly. If you want to try Indian cuisine in portsmouth, Gandhi is the best and this one is worst.
