31 years I've been visiting this ship. I helped bring her out of the water,but no longer have anything to with her. If your 4 or 104 years old there is something for you. I couldn't have dreamed how truly awesome and magical this museum has become. You could spend hours here. If you visit Portsmouth make this top of your list it will be a day to remember.

Great place, plenty of information, excellent COVID secure procedures in place, tells the story of the Mary Rose and its restoration very well. Recommended, although may not be ideal for small children.

For me, this is the \Jewel in the Crown\ of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. My number one attraction. Totally awesome exhibition space so well designed with it's tiered viewing galaries. You might think that the half recovered wreck of this Tudor ship wouldn't take long to see, but you could spend a half-day here quite easily. Apart from the central area where the ship is preserved in controlled atmospheric conditions, the surrounding area has so many artifacts from the ship and tells the story of it's service, sinking and resurrection. Tip: The best viewing for photos is from the top gallery, entered via airlock, as no glass between you and the ship in this area. Really first class exhibition space.

Amazing - must see. A 400 year old wreck, submerged and laying in silt for so long and the quality of the wreck is remarkable! Over 19,000 items were retrieved and a lot of those are on display here, including coins, weapons, skeletons, pottery and clothing to name but a few. The quality of some of these is very impressive.
