Prior to practising at the Bar and founding the Portmouth Barristers' Chambers he worked as a broker in the City of London. In 1998, he was one of the first English barristers to become an accredited commercial mediator. Since then, he has conducted over 300 mediations and acted as a specialist mediation advocate in thousands of cases. He sits on the ADR Committee of the Bar Counciland is the current Chairman of the Southern Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators,. He is a member of The City Disputes Panel.
