A beautiful monument to those that sacrificed everything, the architecture of the cenotaph itself is awe-inspiring with the names of the fallen, lest we forget, we will remember them.
Wonderful WW1 Cenotaph. In the centre of Portsmouth;right next to Portsmouth Guildhall and Victoria Park.Poignant, powerful reminder of those that gave the extreme sacrifice of their lives in WW1 for World Peace.Massive monument in the middle of Cenotaph and statues of soldiers on entrance to Cenotaph and gates lead to Victoria Park.
Beautiful monument and a strangely quiet corner of the city centre only a few yards from the bustle of Commercial Road. A very impressive cenotaph and definitely worth a visit if you’re near the Guildhall.
WW 1 memorial in honour of all the war heros.
