Fantastic cafe here at the castle. Nice varied menu with hot and cold available. Good selection of wines and beers on the drinks menu. The castle itself is small but fascinating to sit there reading about the history whilst in the court yard. The castle itself sits right on the sea front , needless to say some great views. Parking was fine, and that was on a busy Saturday.

I really loved visiting the Southsea Castle. It is right next to the sea. It was free to go in. The castle had stairs, so it might be hard to climb if you have children. The day I went it was not busy, so sometimes I had the whole room to myself. It was fun. I learnt a lot about the castle and the people that occupied it. There were board games for children to play. I believe 30 minutes would do for children before they get bored here. You can then go to the cafe and their gift shop. The shop was small but filled with great little treasures. Prices were very good. A metal cup went for 5.95. Bath toys for babies were sold for 1.95.

Nice space to visit and get surrounding views of the area. Would have been better during our visit if huge areas of the castle were not closed off. But still a enjoyable time.

My daughter and I had an amazing trip to Southsea Castle. They have a water fountain where children could come and play in the water. There are cafes and small restaurants inside the castle. The castle itself is very historic very nice place to go. Behind is a very nice view from the sea. A hill where you can sit and watch the waves boats and sunset.

Great castle! The entry fee is free, there is one person that is helping you out if you need something and the views along with the exhibitions are amazing! Regarding that the entry is free, it's very good experience. I highly recommend going there to have a nice time. I also recommend donating something to them like I and my friend did, becouse its worth it!

'Forts and guns' go with the territory. This one is well looked after. Not very big but well worth it. Free. Donations welcomed. Shop, brewery, and a terrific cafe. Great venue for special occasions. Easy access.
