I stop by quite regularly as it's near. I always get a reliably decent meal. The service is amazing, the head waiter is very friendly and knowledgeable about his drink and food menus. He has twisted my arm a few times after an excellent description of a meal! The portions are very good, you'd do well to eat a three course meal here. There is a large selection of food at a selection of prices. Also, the desserts are to die for, a mouth watering selection from the menu and the refrigerator display. The breakfast/brunch selection is good, they use good quality ingredients resulting in a great tasting breakfast. The pancakes are very good for anyone with a sweet tooth. We can normally get a table during weeknights and Sundays, all other times I'd suggest to book, especially for larger groups and event evenings. Information can be found outside the pub.

Lovely place and it was so friendly. We were able to bring the dog into the Wellington Kitchen lounge bar. The place was so clean and tidy. Also the drinks were really reasonably priced which is always a good thing

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Mario was wonderful and went out of his way to make our stay fantastic. Never known such great service. The food was wonderful and so tasty. Would highly recommend the lamb shoulder and beef Wellington. We had a live Saxaphone player when we were there and he was absolutely fantastic. Apparently he is there most weekends...worth going.

Lovely resturaunt/bar. First visit for food. Was not disappointed at all. Meals were excellent. Staff top notch, got a heater and put it close to us, as I was cold from walking there. Lovely surroundings and live music, really hood Saxophonist. All round very nice evening had. Public car pack within yards. Perfect.

Been a couple of times and everything has been great! Very friendly hosts and the food was incredible! The atmosphere is very nice, and everything adds up to make a really good evening. The desserts are particularly memorable, and are worth travelling to by themselves

Bar area tight but obviously to accommodate the number of tables. Only had a quick drink with friends but will visit for dinner at some point. Great location and interesting history.

Just had a superb roast chicken meal there on a recommendation. Quiet on a Sunday evening however nice ambiance and pleasant staff. Apparently they have great jazz and pianist nights.
