Fantastic walks! Lovely scenery . Love the community spirit when walking there, some nice little chats with local dog walkers.

I would not call it a park. When I went it was cattle grazing fields with lots of cow pats and some were fresh. The only bit that could be called a park was football playing field in a corner that was fenced off.
Definitely the wrong time of the year to walk here, ground is totally water logged, difficult conditions - icy, etc. Any other time, probably good for a 20 min stroll, and a great amenity for Potters bar folk.
This was once the hilly grounds of a large house. To the reviewer who said they would not call it a ‘park’, suggest looking the word up in a dictionary. It is a park in the original sense, i.e. ‘A large enclosed piece of ground attached to a country house’, although, despite the cowpats, it also fits the more well-known definition: ‘A large public garden or area of land used for recreation’ (in this case ‘area of land’ would apply). Anyway, it has numerous public footpaths and desire paths criss-crossing it and is a very pleasant place for a stroll or as part of a longer country walk in the Potters Bar area.
Beautiful spot. A little field next to Potters Bar. Great to see open spaces.
