Trail is a little overgrown at this time of year. Watch out for snakes- we encountered one on the way up. Never saw that sign for the trail but maybe we took a different route. Great hike up. My 5, 8, and 17 yr old did it just fine. Recommend hiking shoes as some parts can get slippery.

If you are getting there though the trail map from AllTrails, and just want to get to the peak where the rock is, you might as well take the return path for the whole trip to and fro. But that's pretty steep. The original path has got many sections that are overgrown and somewhere you feel like you are lost. But it's not that steep. It's a nice hike anyways.
Must visit this place had a blast Take time to visit tooth rock
Short hike accessible from the north or south. South side has flat entry but steep incline at first fork . It flattens out a bit towards the top which loops around the backside. Tooth Rock is a large cylindrical shaped rock which appears unscalible without proper climbing gear. There are a couple tie ins. Great 360 degree views, decent photo op. We exited to the north on Tooth Rock Road ... But the had a bit of a hairy walk with kids down High Valley Road and south on Espola Road which is narrow and busy respectively. Recommend going in and out the same way. About 1.5 in from south and maybe 0.5 from the north.
It's a cool landmark. Fairly easy hike to the top that opens up to a beautiful view.
The hike well worth it....shame to see all the graffiti though..but view from top is amazing......
Good, short, steep hike. Would be 5/5 if not for the fact that the rock is covered in graffiti. Views are great, I recommend coming here at sunset. Please leash your dogs -- poison oak, coyotes, toddlers, and horses abound.
Short Hike.. but still a little challenging
