This group preys on recent widows. Apparently, they don’t work for the interest of the person selling the property. The recent elderly widow had an idea of what a property was valued years ago and rather than operate above board and disclose that the property was worth a great deal more than what she thought. They took the property well below market value from said widow. That’s about as gross as it gets on running a business.

Don and Candi have handled several real estate transactions for me over the years. They have been knowledgeable, professional, thorough and dependable. It is also very important to me that they are familiar with the Western PA real estate market because I live in Florida. Most recently I flew up to PA in December on short notice and called Don on a Friday and asked him if he could show me some real estate that I was interested in. Sold my ranch after two and a half years. Market was bad so understandable that it took a long time but what didn't sit well was the way they kept bringing completely unqualified buyers and wasting our time with people who all wanted the ranch but mostly couldn't get a new car loan let alone buy a thirty acre working ranch with modern home, barns, and swimming pool. Miraculously sold just a month after I told them I was cancelling the contract and going with another realtor in two months.

Whatever you do don’t deal with Powell & Assoc. LLC in Jefferson County, Pa. If you must I suggest you hire an attorney to assist you. We bought our house through them. I am severely allergic to mold and was from out of state when I got duped by them. The house was obvious staged with fresh paint and hidden air freshers to dishonestly cover it up. They had this information beforehand so as only to show us property with full discloser the home be mold free and the disclosure said it was. Over 20,000.00 later into removing the mold and repairing the damage the owner of Powell & Assoc. LLC threatens us with a deformation suit if we talk about it without going through proper channels. This is a small town here in Punxsutawney, Pa. and it appears Powell & Assoc.’s LLC, Dan Powell owner/broker owns it. Tread very carefully because you will be dealing with such a dishonorable company you won’t be able to wrap your head around once you’ve been taken advantage of.

Everyone is friendly and professional at Powell and Associates. We listed our house, were notified when prospective buyers were viewing, and received an offer within 10 days. I can't say enough nice things about Don, Candi, and the rest of the team.
