I came to this place homeless. I was unemployable. I was seriously addicted. My problems were beyond human aid. I had tried recovery for many many years. I had gone to many AA meetings and had concluded after decades of failure that AA did not work for me in my life. After attending the back to the basics program as well as the beyond the basics program set forth by the powerhouse, I worked the steps with my sponsor. I had a psychic change. My life has turned around.

This recovery house focuses on the 12 step program. It is a halfway house that provides a structured sober living environment. The meeting schedule is designed to not only get people used to meetings, but also takes people to meetings around Houston so as to show the variety of styles of meetings. Also it gives first timers an idea of future home groups.
