I always get a very friendly welcome from the girls at the front desk. They are very upbeat and efficient as well. They take you and your pet right on time so you don't have to wait long in the lobby. The veterinarians are very competent, and I feel my dog is in good hands. I trust the veterinarians there and feel they do not push unnecessary treatments on you but give you options and realize cost factors. I feel very confident in my decision to choose this veterinarian practice for my special dog.

I can not begin to thank the staff at Powhatan Animal Hospital enough! They treat my babies with the upmost care anytime we come in for a visit. They helped us find out that Annabelle has diabetes and helped us every step of the way and got Annabelle on a treatment plan to get her back to normal. A special thank you from our family to Dr. Johnson for being an absolute wealth of knowledge on Annas condition and making us feel at ease the whole way!!!

They've cared for the four legged members of our family for years and been great. Recently took our son's puppy in, Powhatan worked him in between appointments since there weren't any available. The staff was great and caring, and Dr Mead was fantastic!! We had not met her in the past but she explained what her thoughts were based on the quick labs, and what else she felt would be beneficial, all in a caring and concerned manner. Then she let us decide how to proceed. Everything turned out great, she was spot-on accurate with her diagnosis - she's a great addition to the Powhatan Animal Hospital team!

My poor puppy dog had a problem that the Emergency vet told us would require surgery within the next 2 days to save her. For only somewhere between 3500 and 5000 they could take care of it the same night. In the morning, I had the ER vet send the test results to Powhatan Animal hospital. Before I could call them, Powhatan AH was calling me. They wanted me to bring her right away. They did a wonderful job. My pup is back to normal. And for a fraction of the cost. (Below 800, less than I paid for the tests at the ER vet) They are so good to our pets! I can't say enough about them.

great place to take your dogs everyone is so nice and helpful. I hadn't been there in years but now I got new dogs I know where to take them great place.
