Engine enthusiasts from all over the world come to visit this fascinating museum. However, it is increasingly becoming a \must visit\ attraction for non-enthusiasts too. As well as the largest collection of engines in Europe, the museum also has changing displays of local history items such as photographs, maps, mementos and keepsakes from the Vernon Estate and Anson Colliery.

Very good museam with a selection of motervated, increadably helpful and informative staff, and helpers.
Amazing place. Reasonable entry price. Excellent volunteers who engaged and really made this place more than just a museum. Outside the huge diesels are WoW! The working exhibits and feel of reality were all great. I will return to take in more info. 100% guys.
Lovely out of season event to remember 100 years since the end of World War 1
My two boys loved it. Staff were lovely, answering all their questions and keeping the explanations simple. Great place to visit with enquiring minds!
