I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Amanda Murphy is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen and I think the best one I will ever meet. I have gone through numerous psychiatrists in my short life and a common theme with a lot of them is that they often lack empathy, but this is far from the case with Amanda Murphy. The psychiatrists I used to see acted like robots that did not care about your feelings and would hand out medications like candy without telling you about them, while Amanda makes certain that you know about what you are being given and that you are LISTENED to. Although I know psychiatrists and therapists have substantially different jobs, it makes all the difference to know that my psychiatrist is listening to my thoughts and feelings and cares about me as a person instead of just seeing me a client. Not to mention her office staff is also very kind and welcoming! This is a great practice they've got going on here, and I'd recommend anyone see Amanda Murphy for their psychiatric needs.

Highly recommend if you are looking for help with medication management and psychiatric services. Very knowledgeable and up to date with current medical research. If you or a family member are needing services like these in the KC area, I would go here. When I was booking the appointment, she was still open for new patients! Which is rare!
