This facility is run by SERCO for maximum profit and no longer your friendly local council gym. Check the T&C's carefully before signing up. They can change the hours, change the facilities available and close for 14 days at a time whilst still taking your money. Good luck in getting a refund should you request one.

Gym contracts have a nasty term that requires you to pay an extra month when you cancel, manager was unsympathetic and quite rude to put it mildly, very greedy. Get a contract somewhere else if you have to now it's very expensive for such a small facility. They also semi-frequently ran out of anything to wipe down the equipment with and some of the equipment is quite old and wasn't always working.

Dim, drab and none too clean. The ladies shower area is very grubby. The mat in there is full of hair, and can't be hygienic! The pool surrounds are really dirty, and what's with the sand area full of rubbish by the pool?? The changing area was lovely and warm, but the water was really cold. My little one was shivering and blue, we got out after a short time. The changing rooms we used were clean, just full of water. The ladies toilet had no toilet tissue, and the floor was full of water and bits of paper. The outside of the building is dreadful! Some serious maintenance, both inside and out, is urgently required.

Shockingly bad customer service, signed up to a 12 month membership, was turned away because they were full or having maintenance issues so many times that i made a complaint and was told if i don't like it then i should cancel my membership but was told i would still have to pay up for the year. Tried to make the most and go with my daughter and was made to wait outside in the rain while there was a staff meeting for over half an hour. Finally my 12 months came to an end so i cancelled my direct debit and received an email telling me I had to give notice to cancel my contract even though it was only a 12 month one and that i owed money and if i didn't pay they would send debt collectors to retrieve 15 from me. DISGUSTING customer service all round, DO NOT sign up to a membership once you do they don't give a damn about you

The staff are fantastic and the gym and showers are brilliant. My only issue is with people swimming widths!!! if a couple of lane ropes were put out it would stop all the problems of people swimming into each other. there's loads of room near the steps for people to swim short distances.

Well where do I start! We went with three boys at 2.30pm where they had just finished a party. I asked one of the staff if they could play with a ball- he said yes. Then within 10 minutes a female member of staff took it off them and said “ If you want to play with a ball you have to buy one.” I queried this with reception who said the same and to buy a tiny inflatable ball cost 4! We felt the pool was very scruffy, staff were not great and facilities- well they were able to use the water! Won’t be going again.

Im thrilled with the private swim lessons my son is receiving from one of your male swim instructors Dave who is a credit to the leisure centre, just a shame they don’t pour a bit of money into doing up changing rooms and areas so the centre could reflect the staff

What a shame Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre has no one taking responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of changing area, toilets, and disability shower area. The chair in the disability shower room is rusty and black with mould and the tiles and floors and walls are dirty . Areas around the changing rooms and the floor leading to the pool were filthy from people's outside footwear today. Having showered and walking BACK to the changing room adults and children were having to walk in muck and what looked and I only describe as a dead worm. I only wish I had my phone to take a picture to post it to the management. I had to go back to the wash room for clean to water to rinse my Grandaughter feet, using her drinking bottle to collect clean water to rewashed her feet, fortunately I was wearing my swim socks. When we arrived at the swimming pool the floor was filthy and an hour later not one member of Staff cleaned the changing areas, shower, disabilty shower, and toilets, though it was clear to see entering the changing area how dirty the floor was leading to the pool, all that muck was being brought into the pool It's not the first time I've been to Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre and have used the shower area, toilets and the disabilty shower and toilet facility. 2018 the disabilty area was not nice then, the same mouldy chair and and dirty changing area . What a shame, I SAY, because Bamber Bridge has a great family pool, good size changing rooms for families with children, and people like myself whom have a disabilty, it is easy accessible to the pool at different levels and to the toilets and changing areas. My Grandaughter and I had a lovely time playing in the pool, but it was spoilt by the neglect of cleanliness and hygiene. Not sure we want to go again.
