My wife bought me a new pair of glasses online for Christmas (not from Boots) which have just arrived with the left lens sticking out on one side at the back, not touching the frame. Before making the journey to return them I went to Boots Opticians Preston to ask for a professional opinion yesterday though I wasn't sure if they'd be able to help and I felt cheeky asking. Hazel had a look at them no problem at all and quickly diagnosed the problem that it hadn't been put in the frame properly. She unscrewed it for me and put it back in the frame. I was very relieved and impressed and thanked her and do so again now. I hadn't expected to come away with them fixed, I just wanted confirmation of the fault before my journey. The online place had been less than apologetic and I wasn't looking forward to going. These days people are often very helpful before the money has been spent but much less so afterwards and this experience has restored my confidence that there are still people who are helpful even when not obliged to be, willing to take that bit of time to listen and understand. I can't speak highly enough of Hazel who was friendly polite good humoured and knowledgeable. My wife also sends her thanks and we will certainly be using Boots Opticians from now on. Brilliant!
