I've worked with S J Bowker's both professionally (at Lancaster University) and personally (at home) for 20 years. All the painters and decorating staff are excellent. Their work is of the highest quality and always completed to the timescales agreed; they never, ever let me down on a job. They are the only ones I'll trust to perform work at my home - the aggravation I'd get from my wife if work wasn't done properly just wouldn't be worth it. I can't recommend them highly enough

Had work done by Bowkers before lockdown. They painted upstairs and downstairs in my house and I am extremely happy with the work they have done. Not to mention the team are all fantastic - hardworking and very polite and friendly, Josh is a star :) will recommend to everyone

Stephen recently painted and wallpapered our large lounge/diner to a superb quality. Including prep work, the room was completed in three days, i couldnt be happier.
Very prompt in calling round to view work to be done Nov 2016. Asked for a quote - got a text from Steve Bowker, just gave price plus VAT. Set a date for work to start by telephone conversation 9th Jan 17. Got a text from Steve Bowker 23rd Dec 16, putting work back a week. Starting 16th Jan 17. I confirmed this was good by return text. THATS IT - HEARD NOTHING MORE! DIDN'T EVEN TURN UP ON 16th Jan 17. DIDN't EVEN BOTHER TO TEXT THIS TIME! Spent an hour trying to get hold of him, left messages & guess what - got a text 'apologies at a health & safety meeting this morning, will ring you at lunch, can start tomorrow.' Not good enough - extremely poor service & communication. Wouldn't have this company now - untrustworthy & that's if they turn up!
