It's worthy to be visited. Not far from the city center. The mass is in Latin. The religious people who animate the mass are friendly. Call before going to be sure it's open.

Was a vibrant parish once.

Beautiful Pugin Roman Catholic church now under the care of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. They say the traditional Tridentine Latin Mass every day at 12 noon, with a special devotion to the English martyrs on Fridays. Mass is offered every day. There is a sung Mass on Sunday at 9am. Sung by the nuns of the Institute who have now established a small convent in Preston. The architecture alone is enough to merit a visit to the church. There is a High Altar where Mass is offered, and 4 side altars. The stations of the cross are absolutely beautiful and protected by ornate glass panes to protect them. Unfortunately due to decreasing congregants the church hasn't had the money to retain the church in it's former glory, but efforts and fund raising is on-going so that we don't lose this beautiful Prestonian landmark.
