No help at all. I can't remember the last time I have given anyone a one star but these guys have been rude, belligerent, arrogant and told me downright lies. I was enquiring about a house on a street where they were selling two houses and without even asking which one, they said you are too low. Dewhurst as a company would do well to retrain these employees of theirs on basic customer service skills and at the same time teach them about not flushing their reputation down the toilet. The other branch in Preston, on the other hand, is brilliant and I would recommend them for an award in comparison to these lot.

Twice now I have viewed properties with this estate agents and only when I’ve arrived have they told me that they are doing “best and final offers”. Both times they listed the properties for much less than they were worth, clearing a tactic to drum up interest. This way of selling a house is quite unethical really because someone could end up paying thousands more than the next highest offer. And please don’t lie and say it’s what the seller wanted because a regular auction would be a much quicker sale for them. I certainly won’t be viewing anything else listed by this estate agents so if you’re a potential seller you need to have it in mind that other buyers might have the same viewpoint as me if they’ve had their time wasted by Dewhurst Homes. Poor.

Dealt with this branch to purchase our home, found the staff very obnoxious and rude apart from a gentleman who I spoke to who was very polite and helpful, as for the rest in my opinion they need to work on there social skills.

Dealt with Dewhurst through a recent property purchase. Unfortunately not a pleasant experience. There's a severe attitude problem seems to run through quite a lot of the staff at the Fulwood branch. Just because you've had a disagreement with my solicitor on the day of completion (who incidentally was only doing his job and finding out why you were telling lies about not having keys to the property - when the vendor themselves was informing us to the contrary), doesn't mean when I arrive and quite politely introduce myself I deserve to have the keys chucked at me with a snide remark and the door shut in my face. What absolutely disgusting behaviour. Thankfully our sellers were lovely, considerate people - its just a shame Dewhurst never seemed to represent them with any of these characteristics throughout the whole experience. These are exactly the type of people who give all agents a bad name...happy to sit raking in the fees, but never putting in more than minimal effort and treating your buyers with contempt once the deal is done.
