Good facilities and large pitches. Great location if you want to do walks straight out from the campsite. It is popular with families with children so not a quiet site but. Views out from the site are great. Evan though the site is in quick easy access of the motorway, you feel miles out in the countryside. We enjoyed our stay and would like to go back again.

Nice site in a fabulous area. Close enough to the M6 to make access easy but far enough away that it doesn't bother you. Pitches are nicely laid out, generous in siz and flat, making pitching tents a doddle. Facilities are basic but clean. Wardens are lovely and friendly and unobtrusive, but there if you need them. Lots of walking directly from the site which is great. The site does allow groups to pitch together, so if you're after a quiet getaway and one such group pitches next to you, it perhaps won't be as quiet as you thought it would be. However despite the sometimes rowdiness and music, it has to be said the site does fall quiet at 11pm and remains quiet until well into the morning. We don't know if it's the long weekend we picked (3rd since lockdown was lifted and first of the kids summer holidays) but there did seem to be a huge amount of discourteous campers, not allowing adequate room between their tents and ours, having 5 cars for a party of 3 tents, 6 adults, 2 kids and 4 dogs, families allowing their children to run around other pitches, people so engaged in their company that they couldn't care less about the 4 dogs with them or what the kids were up to. But these really are minor niggles and as we spent the most of our time enjoying the surrounding countryside it's not enough to stop us returning, we may just be a little more mindful of when we chose to book.

Very basic, if you like style in the facilities and well maintained pitches this site is not for you. But if you're looking for simple with access to walks in this beautiful area go for this one. Like most sites, access to all facilities is limited through Covid-19 and this site is no exception.

Lovely site in a great location, but currently operating bizarre Covid rules - no showers and only 1 toilet are open between 6pm-8am.
