Our fledgling organisation, soon to be an independent UK charity, grows arts and creative learning opportunities for local communities. Our first project is a bid to restore, revive and operate The Harris Institute in Avenham, Preston, Lancashire. This sprawling, remarkable landmark lies dormant, despite its 165-year history as a School of Creative Arts, and the basis of UCLan, The University of Central Lancashire. Our plan sees scope for drama, dance, music, fine art, artisan and crafts skills, screen studies, writing, and more. The loyal and skilled people of Preston have done a great deal to encourage and contribute towards our proposal.
