Lovely place, didnt get to do a tour. Tea room and staff were lovely but prices were very high. Personally i would of spent more in there if prices were lower

Very detailed guided tour of the grounds. We had a lovely guide called Rachel, who had taken 1 & a 1/2 hours in total on the guided tour. Starting with the construction of Hoghton Tower, through several rooms and underground passages, explaining what happened in each.We even met the Lord of the manor as he pottered around his home! Friendly atmosphere and nicely passed a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Following our tour around the house, which was fantastic. Our guide was Lorraine, very knowledgeable, full of historical facts, made the tour really interesting, thankyou very much. We had tea and scones in tea room, lovely, friendly staff. Tea room itself is clean, fresh, food looked and tasted great. Would definitely recommend a visit.
