Not to be confused with H&G Wilde who are a Dignity Group funeral directors, so not Independant. Ian and Wendy Wilde have looked after two of our close family funerals recently. They have been professional, caring and sincere. Such lovely people to deal with at such a difficult time. Particularly so in regard to COVID restrictions. Exceptional service and attention to detail. Assured in the knowledge that your loved one will be safe in their hands.I can’t speak highly enough of this genuine family concern.

This review is based on the services and support both Ian & Wendy provided for myself and the loss of my wife. Sadly, this isn't the first time we have had to use their services but on each and every occasion they have been absolutely impeccable. Impeccable, not just on providing a professional service, but one that is tailored specially to the loss of the loved one. Each time the service has been slightly different, trying to incorporate the personality of the person the day is focused on, all the while providing support and advice to those that have been left behind. The passing of someone we love is never easy on any day but with Covid these days are made all the more harder as restrictions means a service we would normally expect to have can't necessarily be done. Ian & Wendy suggested things that could be done, things I hadn't even considered but know my wife would have loved. With restrictions they suggested venues which allowed for higher capacities and alternatives for those unable to attend. They kept in contact throughout the process, letting me know things were proceeding smoothly and checking to make sure I was okay but never overbearing or intrusively. From past experiences with them I knew everything would be taken care of but it was still less things to worry about knowing for certain they were done. While I hope we won't need their services again for a long time, I am certain I will ask Ian and Wendy to look after anyone else should the need arise and have no reservations at all in recommending their expertise and their support to anyone else in a position of requiring their services.

My mum recently passed away and I am so pleased I had purchased a funeral plan with Wildes. Both Wendy and Ian were wonderful, extremely helpful , compassionate and professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Their staff demonstrated the same high quality of service which you hope for in times like this. Each time I called and spoke to them I felt comfortable and most importantly, listened to. They explained the process very clearly and the funeral went without a hitch. Wendy and Ian took the worry away of what was a stressful time for me. I would not hesitate to recommend them should anyone be in a similar situation. Thank you Wendy and Ian from the bottom of my heart.

So glad we chose Ian and Wendy to arrange my Dad’s funeral. They were so helpful and friendly, and they dealt with all our requests professionally and without hesitation. I lived 200 miles away but they were always at the end of the phone to answer any questions or keep us up to date with arrangements. They made the whole process easy to follow & were on hand to assist every step of the way. We also needed a minister to conduct the service at the crematorium & they recommended Pat Belshaw.
