We are experiencing problems with the laminate flooring in our very expensive park home. Independent Inspections inspected our flooring on the 31st October, Paul Metcalfe, instigated by the Manufacturer of our home. According to Aspire, they found the expansion gaps on flooring to be satisfactory. Having took all the skirting off in main room, we found there to be either NO gaps or insufficient - instead of 12mm there was, if lucky, only about 6mm. This has resulted in the floor being unable to expand causing it to lift in several places. Despite us informing Paul Metcalfe that the floor was not level, he did not produce a spirit level to check. A RICS Surveyor inspected our home on Friday 13th Dec. and found flooring uneven in many places. We showed him photos of flooring confirming no expansion gaps or insufficient gaps! This Company should not be operating if, as Aspire has stated, the expansion gaps are adequate.

Shocking company to deal with. After water damage insurers sent round I.I. Having chosen a new carpet we were assured it would take about 3 weeks. I chased them on several occasions to be told it was still on order. Only 7 weeks later I was told it was an I.T problem and had never been ordered!! How come this wasnt picked up weeks earlier and dealt with. Never want to deal with this shoddy company again.

Don’t be fooled by the name, this company are far from Independent. They are paid by the retail companies and if the report they did on our flooring is anything to go by are happy to produce inaccurate and fanciful reports to get them off the hook. The inspector got the number of people in the household wrong, said we had a pet when we don’t and made false claims about damp that he could have had no way of verifying. If you are in dispute with a retailer and they offer to send these guys round don’t let them in your house as their job is to make sure your claim fails as quickly as possible.

Appalling company! Unfortunately I've had to go through Independent Inspections to replace a carpet that was damaged by flood water and the whole experience has been a complete fiasco. It seems that no one there takes any responsibility or knows what the correct procedures are for handling claims. I've spent, literally, hours on the phone on hold or trying to get an answer; emails and requests for call-backs get ignored; I've been lied to numerous times; I've been given completely inaccurate or wrong information; I am still waiting for my new carpet, weeks and weeks later....

After giving a date for fitting carpets after a flood they decide a few days before due date that they have too much work and will now be another two months . They were appointed by the insurance company who I hope changes their contractors. This was for a home flooded in February !! The homeowner is in very poor health and this is totally unacceptable

Insurers hired guns. This company is appointed to minimise insurers payments and have little care for the person that has suffered the loss. If you need to make a claim, appoint yourself a good loss assessor to protect your interests.

Not so Independent Inspections LTD! These cowboys were sent out from the manufacturer of our carpet in which we had encountered an issue with. Apparently an inspection for the yarn untwisting consists of walking round taking pictures, never once getting to eye level to view the setting of the yarn, never mind touching it! Not part of the Wool Safe Organisiation, Chartered Trading Standards Institute or the Furniture Ombudsman. Luckily for me there are other inspectors out there who are qualified for the job and know what they are doing and i now have my 1500 back About as qualified and independant as my little toe, avoid at all costs.
