I work in the shop underneath this accommodation. IQ staff are lovely and I love working there and watching the student's grow from from when they arrive in there 1st year to when they finish in there 3rd year. The change is a wonder to see!! Pop in and say hello everyone if you are passing!!

IQ is located very close to several of the larger accommodations in Preston making the area a student hub, with easy access to a nisa local as well as several take-away's and with the main university building just a 5 minute walk away IQ is a very convenient place to live. IQ is one higher quality student accommodation with a small onsite gym and social space complete with a pool table, the rooms and kitchen are fair sized, but the communal washing machines are not the best, with no draw for washing powder forcing you to use liquid and fairly regularly break downs it is not the best system, but there are friendly staff on hand to help with any problems you may have on site. If your willing to spend a little extra IQ is one of the best places to stay in preston.

The rooms are a lot nicer than majority of student accomodation offered in Preston. The kitchens are nice and the hallways are wide and bright

What you expect from a student accommodation but slightly better, rooms offered from 85 with some rooms owned by the uni but the majority owned by IQ. Probably best to rent from IQ as they offer cash back, and have a better selection of rooms such as bronze, bronze plus, silver and gold. Booking via IQ means you can choose which room you want but it’s first come first served but it’s best to look at floor plans to see where’s best. Some blocks don’t have lifts so keep that in mind if you don’t want to walk up 4 sets of stairs, bottom floor also means you’re more likely to here other rowdy students coming back or leaving for a night out and there has been incidents of mice coming into to ground floor flats. Top floors usually have the best view and certain flats such as silver rooms at the end had more windows. Onsite laundry room but it’s temperamental and pricey, and common room with pool table and TVs can host film nights and best of all security 24/7 if you get locked out but best hope you don’t a loose a keg because it’s pricey too but it also means parcels can be collected and delivered 24/7.
