The 999 and non emergency call handlers are professional and sympathetic. Aside from this, the actual officers and overall policing standard are insufficient ,derelict in their duty and an overall poor value for money for the tax payer. They do not thoroughly investigate crimes, they do not interview all parties involved, only interviewing the people they want to interview which leads to a biased representation of the facts and they just blame everything on cuts and Boris Johnson. Whilst I appreciate resources are stretched and the budgets are tough, the officers should not make this my burden. As a decent member of society who has paid into the communal taxation pot for years, as have all my family, and had little in return, the least I can expect is that if someone commits a crime against me, the police thoroughly investigate it and carry out their duties fully and with the highest level of professionalism. At least 4 of them sat in the police van unoccupied yet they claim they don't have the resources to deal with someone who started a fight against me for no apparent reason. Can't or just can't be bothered? No wander Burnley is the way it is; fighting galore, drugs everywhere and wannabe drug dealers walking around like they own the place. Unsurprising when the police seem so inefectual. Emailed them to complain to give them a chance to put it right and they didn't have the courtesy to respond. Waste of time.

Lancashire police, hope you are proud of yourselves - nice and pretty white faces you have got in your force haven't you? I guess asian faces would have totally spoilt the picture. I have been messed around left right and centre by your staff due to me being a different race and skin colour - I passed my interview, medical, fitness etc and 2 weeks before my training date I was told that I am not successful WITHOUT A REASON! I did put a complaint in but as usual - dismissed the complaint. I would urge all asian applicants NOT to apply and if you do, expect to be messed around and be disappointed the way I was!

Old man with glasses on security very rude wouldn't give me his name and just sent me away without even a hello just a no and a shake of the head saying no your not coming in come back in the morning when I had an appointed reason to be there but he didn't even ask!
