We were extremely impressed by your company from the onset. We first rang Euxton Park Care home only to be told you don't cater for dementia clients requiring a high level of care. Your staff offered me the opportunity to come and have a chat with someone at Euxton Park and also offered advise for two other alternative care homes who did offer the type of care we required. There efficiency was absolutely brilliant. Very impressive. They booked me two appointments immediately and provided me with really sound advise. The following day we went to have a look at The Glades Care home in Preston. On arrival at the Care home we were greeted with friendly staff with smiles on their faces and then directed to the manager on the second floor. Here we met a lovely bubbly friendly manager. Nothing was too much trouble. We were taken on a tour of the building, introduced to staff and other service users. Arriving at 10am in the morning is obviously one of the busiest times of the day. Clients being got up, being given breakfast. The rooms were immaculate, everywhere looked bright, cheerful and smelt clean. We felt they were very transparent. We felt that what we were seeing was reality and not fabricated just for visitors. Their high standards of care and professionalism were very evident. Furthermore, we felt the manager really cared about people as individuals. She made us feel confident about leaving our family member in her care. She also spoke highly of her staff and gave us the impression that she had a great team of workers. Our family member is currently being assessed by social services and has not yet been placed anywhere but once he has been assessed we would certainly consider The Glades as a high contender for his future place to live.

My father in law has been a resident on the dementia unit for 5 months, the staff are friendly, caring and supportive. He is well fed, clean and is happy. Would recommend this unit as the staff make it caring and supportive environment

I had a close relative living here for a number of years. Some of the staff were very good and genuinely seemed to care for and help the patients. Others would just neglect them entirely. Unfortunately this seems to be the case in the vast majority of these places.
