A really nice tidy stadium thats been redeveloped over the last few years and looks quite impressive .The atmosphere was great on my last visit and if you go by coach as an away fan its great as you get an escort straight to the motorway we got home in no time.An intresting fact is Preston won the the inaugural football league in 1888/89 and also won the FA cup that year its also where the great Tom Finney pyled his trade

Like this stadium! Proper football stadium but missing a lot of fans and atmosphere! Good club nearby for away fans. Enjoyed visiting again.

Preston North End have been playing competitive football at Deepdale Stadium in its various incarnations since 1878 and the present stadium was completely refurbed to its present standard over the 13 years between 1995 and 2008 as a Lancashire version inspired by the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa Of course for anybody tapped-into the football zeitgeist, Preston North End FC is synonymous with the great Tom Finney and bang outside their front-door they have erected a wonderful ‘water-spraying’ effect statue in Tom's honour. The actual statue itself portrays an actual moment from Tom's career way back on 25-Aug-1956 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when Tom was captured by a photographer in a shower of water-spray as he tussled for the ball with a defender on a water-soaked pitch. Great tribute to ‘The Preston Plumber’. We travelled up to the match as a party of three with two of us driving up on Saturday 20-Sep-2014 and picking up the third member of our road-crew from Preston Railway station. The game we attended was a bit of a non-event 2-0 win for Preston against Crawley Town, but the Stadium was in good fettle and we sat in the Tom Finney stand in the seating area where Tom's face is depicted.
