Excellent butchers. For the day-to-day stuff as well as the extra special meals. Brisket of beef and tomahawk steak are excellent and they don't cut the fat off like some butchers. Also sell a good range of fresh veg and some freezer meat too. Thumbs up

I have shopped at Holgates for many years. It is a proper butchers. Darrell will cut any size of joint, steak or chop you want. Highly recommended. Keep the local specialist shops going by supporting them.

Fab farm shop type butchers that we're delighted to have discovered open during Covid lockdown and a healthy cycle ride from home. Nothing is too much trouble for them, including getting unusual lamb cuts out of the freezer for my slow cooking requests. BBQ's were a delight during summer getting just the amounts the 3 of us needed. About to put the Xmas order in with them so looking forward to locally sourced meat for the Xmas table
