I would like to thank everybody at RMC for their excellent service especially during these difficult times. To be able to talk to a receptionist and then receive same day GP consultation on several occasions is very reassuring. Well done RMC!

Reception good in person (but phone waiting times a nightmare most days) & covid restrictions tight.. Pharmacy line decent. Experience with doctors and nurses not so fantastic though and the building layout is confusing.

Tough times at the moment but apart from that I think the surgery has done OK. Not easy getting a doctors appointment.

I have been a patient of the Ribbleton Medical Centre, for the past 10 years. I have in the past had difficulties with my previous doctors surgery. Since I became a patient at the Ribbleton Medical Centre I feel that my condition has improved greatly. I suffer with complex Mental Health needs. The Ribbleton Medical Centre has assisted with the complexity of my mental health above and beyond. The medical receptionists’ are not just medical receptionist, they have true empathy and are always willing to help. The Medical Receptionist are understanding and always willing to help and even offer a listening ear, they do not judge (which is something I have experienced in the past with my previous Doctors’ ) Even though I have my complex mental health and have extremely bad days. However the Receptionists’ do not rush the call or belittle how you feel they LISTEN which is a rare commodity. The Doctors’ at the surgery are doctors that care and they listen and always offer the best treatments available rather than just writing a perscription. The doctors’ value my wellbeing, this makes me feel like I count. It is my strong opinion that if they gave out awards for exceptional doctors’ and practice nurses’ and not forgetting Medical receptionists’ it should without a shadow of a doubt be give to RIBBLETON MEDICAL CENTRE. So I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge Thank You for the continual support with my mental health. JNorton

I had a midwife appointment booked on the morning of Tuesday 7th May. for 9am. I took a day off work for this appointment. I was waiting for over 20 minutes upstairs and came down to ask how long I would be waiting. I was then told the midwife actually hasn't shown up? Why no one could come and tell me this I don't know? Two more girls arrived after this for their appointment and were told the same thing by reception. When I asked what I was meant to do, the receptionist said she was trying to get hold of her but had no response to messages left...i waited for an hour in the waiting room and the receptionist was that busy seeing to people at the desk and answering the phone I don't think she actually made another phone call to the midwife? There certainly wasn't an urgency to get it sorted by any of the reception staff. I said I would go home and would appreciate a phone call to remake my appointment for that day if possible as I had booked time off work. I STILL haven't had a response from the doctors 3 weeks later. Luckily I have my head screwed on and have since been seen by another midwife at the hospital but if I hadn't I would still be waiting for my appointment to be made. I understand this wasn't the doctors fault directly but people should have been called before coming to their appointments to be told the midwife hadn't turned up and they should have been followed up to have new appointments made. Really disappointing service and this isn't the first time. I will be going directly to the hospital now for all pre-natal appointments.

Reception staff don't seem to have a clue how to talk to people was told to ring back on the prescription line after waiting 20 minutes to get through as she wasn't interested in what I was saying to her, I rang prescription line to no avail This medical centre is getting worse every time I ring up it seems like nobody has got a clue

Trying to make an appointment by phone is like trying to pull teeth without numbing first going down a que from 7th to 3rd then back to 4th when eventually getting to number 1 in que and still not getting through after 45 minutes What if it was an emergency ??? I see the receptionist sat there chatting about what they are doing on the weekend when I am sat waiting for my appointment The customer service is non existent
