Recently bought a set of 'Victorian Style, brass door handles, early 'March, and on fitting same, found them not to be fit for purpose, they only had a turn of less than the usual 45 degrees when fitted, and were unable to turn the spindle in the door, to enable opening and closing of door, they were in effect useless, methinks they were bought cheap in from 'China, and, on requesting a refund in a friendly manner, where we and my partner who are both retirees, were treated as if we did not know, the lady was adamant, that's how they are made! and our response was, that is really academic as they did not fit! We were then refunded in a hussy fit by the lady, and, told never to return to the shop ever again, and, we were effectively barred! Shop at your peril, and what a difference if I may add at 'Grundy's just two or three doors away, a much more professional business in all matters, they were polite, etc., nothing like the harridan at 'Superdeal Hardware!

I have used this shop on many occasion. But, having bought a tape measure for work and a week later it's \bust\ - I took it back & requested my money back. I didn't want a replacement as it didn't give me confidence. The lady gave the refund but slammed the cash on the counter, said it looked older than a week (obviously not aware of manufacturing facilities) and walked off!! Having spent lots of money there, I'll either go to the DIY shop a few shops up or B&Q.. Online... She needs a course on Customer Service / Sales..
