The new store and staff great, but getting out of the car park is horrendous with the road works. I understand that it’s difficult for \u003eTesco to have any control over this at the moment but perhaps a one-way system on the car park might help otherwise you’re sitting in one of the lanes trying to get out and rather than people following a zip system they just don’t let you out. You end up sitting with a boot full of frozen food trying to get out of the car park. Won’t be going back until the roadworks are completed

Brilliant store, very much needed in Penwortham! I've never failed to do a weekly shop yet, always had what I needed or an appropriate alternative. It isn't a tesco extra so you can't expect to have every variation of certain brands! Also the roadworks aren't tesco's fault and are already improving with the new junction in and out of the store. I can't fault the produce, the staff, the facilities.

Takes a long time to get in and out because of roadworks and only one entrance should have made another on cop lane!. Dog and cat food selection is very limited, my dogs eat Hi-Life dry food and sadly it’s not stocked here so I still need to go to the rivals. Reduced items are all of poor value too, example ready meals reduced to 2.28 that are only normally 2.50 witch club card or almost stale loaves with 10p knocked off so still over a pound! Their isn’t enough price incentive to accept the lower quality of this food with its use by date reached. Be more generous with your reductions because anything is better than food going into a waste bin round the back.

Swift self serve petrol without the faff of queues at Morrisons on the docks. Superstore is a good size without being too big for the area, and all Covid compliant given its opening date. Layout is practical and thought out with day to day items near beginning of the store and clothing far left, and good balance of self serve and manned tills.

Nice to have the choice on our doorstep. Been a couple of times and experience is good.

Petrol station has no momentum fuel very disappointed. Only petrol stations that sells 99 octane fuel is either in fulwood or Leyland. Can't believe Tesco missed this opportunity

I thought I'd give the new tesco a try, whilst I like the layout and size of the store I had an issue with a staff member, having gone to the tills to pay I noticed all the tills had two customers at them, except one till that only had one customer at it,I joined the queue for this till only to be told by the woman at the checkout that this till was closing,(there was no sign on the conveyor belt) luckily the next till had just finished serving someone so I joined that queue and was now second in that queue, whilst waiting for the customer in front of me the woman at the till I originally went to finished serving,I then observed a shopper going to that till I was expecting her to be told that that till would be closing, but the woman on the checkout served her,all the while i was still stood with my 2 young children waiting to get served

We normally shop at Morrisons, Preston Riverside but on this occasion thought we would do the weekly shop at the new Tesco. Firstly have your token or 1 coin ready for the trolley. No sign of any one monitoring Covid precautions on the entrance. Once we were inside the first thing we noticed was it was smaller than the Leyland branch. Secondly most products were more expensive than Morrisons. Some of the labels had yellow stickers offering discounts if you were a Club Tesco member. Thirdly, the stock was limited. We decide that we had seen enough and passed through the checkout without receiving so much as a smile. we would normally spend around 125 on 4 or5 bag loads at Morrisons but on this occasion we spent in access of 85 on 2 bagloads. Will not be visiting again and will stick to Morrisons.
