Had a takeaway yesterday 11 Dec 20. Easy to order by telephone. Had 2 starters, 2 main courses and a single dessert for under 42 Delicious. Generous quantities. Packed up nicely so I could walk home. Excellent value. Recommended.

We had an absolutely beautiful meal for my birthday at the Pickled Goose this evening. I ordered the 8oz Lamb and my friend ordered the Goosnargh Chicken. Both meals were out of this world. I could not reccomend anywhere else more that the Pickled Goose. Brilliant service with all COVID measures considered, kind and considerate staff, lovely drinks and even better food. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful meal and experience, it really made my birthday!

Delightful meal - Starter of Mustard chicken wings, beautifully cooked, flavoursome and 4 of them. Partner had pork belly, succulent, another generous portion with celeriac and apple mayonnaise. Mains were good old fish, chips & mushy peas. A large piece of haddock, lightly battered and cooked with care. A large portion - you won't fit in a pudding. I had bacon chop with black pudding, roasted baby gem, chips and a duck egg (There was a pineapple topping too but I declined). Skillfully cooked, thick bacon chop, lovely chunky chips and a tasty black pud. We will go again as we were very impressed. Clean, well organised offering delicious British cuisine. Price Inc 1large glass of white wine, a pint of lager and a diet coke 55. Decent price and worth every calorie!

Nice place, feels like a pub that makes an effort on food. Had a fairly good set of vegan options (three starters, three mains and three desserts) and the non vegan stuff looked good too. I’m pretty sure the sausages I had were Linda McCartney but the spuds, greens and especially gravy were tasty. Picture of the dessert attached. Raspberry sorbet as I recall and tasted great. Service couldn’t be faulted.

Six star food six star service and 100% manager (David). I had the seasame baked salmon and it was faultless. Beer was cold and the wine was great. Would recommend to everyone
