At first I thought it was going to be horrible. We had a table booked yet when we arrived there was no one to greet us, no one to ensure guests sanitized their hands. We walked around and still no one was around to ask which table we were booked on. The tables that were free were dirty so we waited at the bar and were eventually told we could just pick any table we wanted (although we had to clean it ourselves). The guy that served us at the bar advised us that someone had rang in sick and that is why things were a bit up in the air. He was extremely polite, and his service was exceptional. He was doing everything at the front of house. He took our drinks and food order, we saw him clean tables when he had a chance, i saw him making desserts, he then served our food. If it wasn't for him it would have been a disaster. No manager or owner around to help out. You should give this guy a raise, because you would be extremely disappointed if he went elsewhere.

Really interesting decor for a pub / restaurant, right next to the marina. Food was served by a courteous waiter. Good quality and a reasonable selection of deserts at a fair price.

Interesting place by a canal, dog friendly with outside seating. Good food and ales. Well worth a visit.

I just ordered a bowl of minestrone soup and it was dreadful, glutinous and flavourless.. I tasted as though it had come straight from a packet it was also scaldingly hot. It came with a couple of slices of toasted baguette and no butter. It cost more than 5.50. Based in this experience I wouldn't eat there again. The member of staff on bar duty was lovely. I didn't complain but think I should have done!

Visited here on a Thursday evening, we did pre book a table although the place was fairly empty when we arrived, the young man behind the bar seemed to be doing the job of 3 people, bar man, waiter and cleaner he was very good at all three though and a credit to the place, I get these are unprecedented times but to only have one guy doing all jobs did spoil the experience somewhat, the food was very good though, although the menu was very limited, which I feel should be stated on their website
