Please do yourself a favour an buy elsewhere i bought a starter motor from these so called professionals which didn't fit , after several phone calls they reluctantly told me to send it back they didn't call to update just sent the correct part out. I fitted the starter motor it worked fine for 6 starts of the engine ( A small 13hp engine only 3 years old ) it then failed ! ( like it destroyed itself ). I returned the item an was told it was due to over cranking , I explained no way that had happened an why would I over crank a brand new starter to point of destruction. This made no difference an was told that was their opinion an their stance will not change. If you look at previous reviews they tell disgruntled clients that there are two sides to a story which is true but it seems they only listen to their side , they have lots of good reviews which is surprising as their customer service is poor to say the least. The part cost 120 from them I have found the same part for 80 delivered in 2 days just shows you they aren't that great on price either so please shop around an save yourself the time with dealing with this company.

These guys were top notch! Very efficient and took the order on a Sunday which was perfect! Dispatched Monday and arrived Tuesday! Fitted the starter motor and it hasn’t missed a beat since! Can’t recommend these guys highly enough and they have a new customer for life as well as recommending them for any future purchases of this type to my friends etc! Thanks again

West Lancs starter motors were knowledgeable and helpful when I rang up requesting a new starter motor. I felt their prices were fair, the warranty is decent and the delivery was prompt. I don't know much about the manufacturer of the starter motor it looked from the name to be Chinese but then the OEM was made in India. The unit came complete with hollow location dowel, nuts, washers and solenoid extension wire which was good. Best of all it works.
