Lovely parkland course with some interesting challenges. Picturesque holes and a cracking photogenic clubhouse. Great playing conditions but played in August so can't vouch for winter months.

Our welcome on the first day of October could not have been a warmer one, so we Hilton Parkers felt \one up\ even before our morning tee-off. We took advantage of the special 20 James Braid rate and were delighted with the course as well as those tasked with working there through difficult times. The pro shop greeting on arrival set the tone and that was matched by Eileen when we headed upstairs for a decent sized cup of coffee and a bacon roll. Just 20 minutes or so there chatting with the effervescent lassie and we walked out with a spring in our step. Take a bow. The course was in good condition and played well, with a decent bit of run compared to our own. Came away happy we had made the 90-minute journey from Glasgow and look forward to a speedy return.
