Every once in awhile, certain individuals show up and touch our lives. The level of gratitude is incomprehensible for the difference they make. A couple weeks into summer vacation two years ago, my 9 year old was struggling with anxiety to a level he hadn’t struggled in several years. We knew we couldn’t help him as we were at our wits end on what to do. We sought out Ashlee at Aspen & Oak and it couldn’t have been a better decision. Over the course of the year we saw Ashlee, we saw ups and downs with our son but the progress he made was second to none. He gained coping skills and strategies to help him when he is overwhelmed and struggling. He gained the confidence in himself that he requires to accomplish tasks that he couldn’t when we began. As parents, we have learned ways to help him when things get to be too much and have found more patience and understanding as to why “easy” things aren’t so easy. For a kid that is shy and doesn’t open up easily, Ashlee found a way and he looked forward to his appointments and talking with her. Our experience with Ashlee was invaluable. She truly has a gift and never hesitates to go above and beyond.

Myself and both my children love our visits with Ashlee, she has so much knowledge to share and listens to everything you have to say to help you deal with what's going on in life. We've grown so much as a family and individuals since we began seeing Ashlee. If you or someone you know needs to better your mental health, are going through a rough time of any sort Aspen & Oak is the place to go.
My family's experience with Aspen and Oak has been fantastic. Ashlee is extremely professional in her practise, and the environment is warm and welcoming, making what can be a nerve wracking experience, so much easier to navigate. I would recommend Ashlee to anyone, especially for helping children with any sort of anxiety or behavioral concerns.
I am beyond thrilled to see that Abigail Anderson got to join this practice. I was a patient of Abigail’s when she was working in Biggar and I truly miss her. I might do the extra kilometres to receive great counselling from a professional with great experience.
