Good food choices and great staff. Like that there's a dedicated staff to sanitize carts and such.

Come on Safeway you can do much better at times of crisis put limits on items you obviously know will sell fast and open store at least 1 hour just for seniors and disabled people...

The prices are through the roof! The staff are friendly and always helpful. Since this is such a small community the price is consistently higher than other similar small places. Commodities such as milk bread and eggs seems to be at least a dollar more than other communities. They will tell you that this is because we are so far north and they have to ship it. This is a complete miss truth. The cost to ship between Terrace to Prince Rupert is trivial to a large Diesel truck with a fuel cost of no more than 40 dollars in price. Plus the driver's wages 25 and even maintenance on the truck at a high price of 50 per trip. That 115 dollars spread out across the entire load. Plus the wages of a individual to receive the load at 20, then staff who are paid extremely low wages south of 20 per hour. Does not equate to an 1 on milk or eggs. Bananas do seem to be priced reasonably averaging .77. I am tired of being told our unreasonable pricing is due to shipping/internet shopping. This is purely because the companies know we need these items and they therefore set the prices high. Sobeys and Safeway tend to do this country wide and as much as I love this Canadian Company, I have a hard time supporting price gouging. It's time for a NoFrills or a full size Walmart Supercenter.

Having traveled for work to various locations throughout the province. I have visited a great number of Safeway stores. That being said I can confidentiality say this location is one of the better ones.

Good choice of foods available at this Superstore. One can even call it a big Grocery Store and the choice of raw fresh fruits and vegetables was better here than at the Walmart Store of Prince Rupert. There are some snack and bakery stalls within the store where one can buy ready to eat stuff and have it there itself. The staff are friendly and do a quick job of the billing. We were saved the trouble of eating out at a restaurant every time, as we had a kitchen and fridge at the hostel where we stayed.
