It isn't quite a 5 star restaurant in my book, and if I could give 4.5 stars, I would, but ah what the heck, it probably deserves 5 stars. Overall, I love the atmosphere-- there's a section that's more upscale/formal as well as a bar that has all kinds of swank going on. When I go to other restaurants I measure its atmosphere against this restaurant's. It's the kind of atmosphere that makes the food taste better, the conversation lighter, and the people more pretty. The wait staff is markedly above average. In my experiences they have always been very polite, attentive, and professional. They've got that breed of politeness that you know was hand picked and groomed to make people feel like they actually deserve being waited on. I don't often feel like I deserve being waited on, but these people make me feel like they actually *enjoy* serving me. It's weird...in a good way. There's one older waitress in particular who is always there who is embodies this. The food is also quite good. I've gone a handful of times for sushi and maybe once or twice for the rest of the cuisine. The sushi is good. There is better (read: fresher/higher quality) sushi out there, and knowing this sort of taints my enjoyment of the sushi to a degree, but it's good enough to keep me coming back (especially with the half priced sushi on Sundays and the Groupons out there). Now that I think about it, if you're looking for something raw, I'd say you should order every cold/raw appetizer they have. The seafood ceviche is mind-meltingly good and tartare is always a delight. The other stuff on the menu is, for all intents and purposes, probably better than the sushi, really, but for some reason I've only really had the other stuff on the menu once or twice. Can't remember if we got the lamb or the pork chop, but one (or both?) of them was fantastic. The neat presentation is always a great precursor to the taste. The portions are fairly reasonable. Always a nice experience.

Below average. Service is really bad, the sushi is disappointing and there are plenty of better places in the area. Will not be going back.
