Helping others while traveling and learning new skills is where it's at. *Amended review from a lesser rating based on follow up communication from staff. Good people!

It's a wild, tame, busy or laid back ride that you have some control over if you plan ahead, but integrating Canadian Farming into their lives is something the majority of our citizens should do more of. Respect, learn & connect. That's what it's all about. Without world wide opportunities on organic farms meeting with each other would take years or churches, so I prefer Woof church and I hope more people join.
My boyfriend Sebastian and me stayed at the G & M family farm in Newfoundland. We had a great time there and we are very glad to be a member of WWOOF Canada. We learned so many new things and it was a big adventure. We also created a video for the video contest. It was so much fun to do that. Wwoof is the perfect way to meet new people, learn more about the organic farming and it is always a good way to discover the country in a different way. We loved our experience and we can warmly recommend this opportunity to other people!
Wwoofing is a perfect possibility to learn about the people and the culture. I really miss the time and i hope i will do it again. You work for the people and at the most farms you are a part of the family. Some farms give you chores and other give you every day other work but most of the time your work is not that long and you have time at the end of the day to explore something in the area or do a short trip. I gave four and not 5 stars because there are also farms which think you are just a cheeper worker. I think it is not often but sometimes. However the experience is awesome and i think lots of people should do it.
Woofing favors the host. Slave labor. Hosts take advantage and woof does little to protect the woofers. They edit your comments to favor the host. Beware.
