After working in the Building Trades through the Carpenters Union for 40 years my lumbar spine was a mess. The pain I was in was indescribable. I walked bent over forward for the better part of one year before I just couldn’t deal with the severe pain any longer. Dr Cohen performed an L-1 to S-1 lumbar fusion along with removing arthritis that existed in my spine. I’m truly amazed. It’s been three months and although I have a ways to go to be 100% but I’m certain that I will get back to a quality of life that I never thought possible. Dr. Foos and his staff were amazing from the first visit through my rehab. I had visited with a knee injury that happened while playing soccer. The surgery was smooth and the explanation and details given by Dr. Foos were clear and he made me feel comfortable. My entire lumbar was herniated. 4 out of the 5 herniated discs were pressing up against the nerves which was causing me great discomfort/pain and issues with walking (after 5 - 10 steps I would basically collapse from the pain). I was confined to my bed for a month. I saw Dr Jason Cohen and scheduled surgery. I swear this man is god himself. I was operated on a Monday and went home late Tuesday afternoon. I could not believe it! The man is a genius! My physical therapy was done there as well and they were also fantastic!!
