I took a very dark stained oak drop-leaf barley twist table to Chris for dipping to try to get back to the natural oak. We discussed the risks, and went ahead. The table exited the process intact but needing some tlc prior to restoration. Chris advised me on the use of grain filler and other treatments, advice which I followed. I then completed the restoration myself using 4 coats of button polish, fine sanded between each coat. You can see the results, I am delighted with my restored oak table.
