This is the best apartment I have ever lived in. Make sure you get in through mountain view management though because every building is owned by someone different and mvm is the best. I got my own room and half bathroom. Prices were affordable and management was easy to work with. There is plenty within close range. They are clean apartments. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Unfortunately I am getting married, and cannot live here anymore because I definitely would

I had the worst experience at Old Mill. My room had mold and they wouldn't let me change rooms/apt or end my lease. I tried working with management who lied and denied the leak that caused the mold, even with proof. A third party company had to come and remove 9 yards of wet padding. I was left with a room with no padding and with moldy furniture. I had to go through BYU and pay 30 to have a mediation. They never admitted to anything and I was stuck with my lease and moldy room. This was only one of the problems. My room also didn't have a smoke detector, which is against the law, management admitted that their random charges were misleading, my roommate's boyfriend literally lived with us, and besides contacting management several times, nothing was done about it, my bike was stolen *from the bike rack*, and so on.

PARK HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK: I've been at old mill for more than a year, this apartment complex is held up and maintained well enough. Some "Old" architecture like shared showers and rusty doors can be odd. But I am giving this complex 1 star for their HORRIBLE parking/towing system. It was snowing yesterday, so every number was covered by it. The numbers are also worn down, so it's not 100% safe to rely on visuals most of the time. The towing person waited untill the snow melted to round up their daily booting and towing even after a snow storm. There is no human decency with these people, they will boot and tow under any climate. I can accept that, but at least fix your crummy numbers with the money you're stealing from people. I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this complex for their terrible parking alone. The placement of the numbers are random seemingly on purpose as well. One numbered spot was next to free spots. Fix your parking system and esthetic then maybe I'll consider this place to be mediocre.

Contracts are very vague and misleading. Terrible customer service and greedy owners. I was charged unnecessary bills for cleaning unnecessary things. Their cleaning check process is messy and unorganized and terribly distributed amongst roommates. They will not show me proof of “messy mistakes” and only claim by their word that it was messy. The location is terrible. If you are not “Mormon” or religious, then it’s a very uncomfortable environment when you’re just trying to get through school. I highly recommend NOT renting through Stone Properties at any of their locations.

The buildings themselves and individual units are spacious. They are outdated though. Cool place to live on a college budget— just as long as you DON’T do business with Aspen Ridge Management.

I lived at Old Mill for two years. They were some of my most memorable times in College, for multiple reasons. First, the location is great. Close to UVU or BYU, close to the hospital and tons of restaurants and shopping. It was fantastic location. Second, I loved my roommates. Third, the LDS Ward had great leadership and fun people. Fourth, my landlords - Cindy and Randy Morris - was phenomenal. Cindy was easy to communicate with and would always email or text back the same day. Whenever something broke, Randy came down the next day to fix it. They were great landlords and I had no complaints. That’s the differentiating factor here at Old Mill - every condo is owned by different landlords. If you get one that’s taken care of the apartment and is responsive; you’ve struck gold in Provo’s best kept apartment secret. Fifth, the price was unbeatable. 315 a month for a private room AND private bathroom. I couldn’t find that anywhere else in Utah County, especially student housing. The Solarium (indoor pool and indoor sand volleyball court, basically a greenhouse feel) did get loud sometimes but it was a nice amenity and a great place to have relaxing late-night swims. Parking was probably the biggest complaint for me. The lines hadn’t been repainted for years and the spaces were all incredibly tight, it was quite difficult to park some nights. However, I stick to my high review. I will speak for years to come about my treasured times at Old Mill. It’s also a fun fact that Steve Young lived at Old Mill for a time when he was at BYU!

Do yourself a favor and *never move here*. They have the worst management I've ever encountered in the 5 years I've lived in Provo.

I was excited about old mill until I spoke to the landlord Cindy Morris. Not only was she extremely rude to me for no reason but she was impossible to talk to when on the phone and then started ignoring my calls and emails. I find a new place, found a new person to take over my lease within 5 days and wanted to get my deposit back. When I was on the phone with her she told me there was a 50 dollar fee to cancel. I was fine with that but as she began to text me further she stated charges on my deposit that didn’t exists. Making up charges up to 150. After I read the contract I found nowhere where it said that charges only the 150. Not only was she rude, not helpful, but she lied about charges that were not stated in the contract. Would not recommend to anyone unless you need a cheap, run down apartment that will charge you for every little thing and not be helpful. I will still be attempting to receive the deposit back that was promised to me after I sold my lease. Terrible Managment
