We employed Owl House Construction to complete a first floor extension and loft conversion, and work started in April 2019 with an estimated 12 week completion time. In October 2019, with significant amounts of work outstanding, most notably the lack of a fully formed and weathertight roof the company owner, Mr Steven Baker, instructed his team to \down tools\ and walked off the job. During the time that Owl House Construction worked for us they caused damage to our property, which we were promised would be made good, but has not been. The work that has been completed has not all been done in accordance with the architechtural or structural drawings and will require remedying before the job can be completed. Since they have walked off the job Mr Baker has refused to come back to complete the work as per his quote, or enter into a mediation process to resolve our dispute, he has submitted a further invoice and has threatened legal action if these unagreed costs are not met.
