The name Lawrence & Mayo strikes a trustworthy chord but the experience at their Pondicherry Outlet is highly deplorable. My son and I went to the Pondicherry Lawrence & Mayo outlet today. The reception was little cold, maybe they were tired towards the evening; in that case they should have shut their shutters and gone for rest. At the outset they showed very expensive range of frames. When I enquired about the lower prices at their own online store, their attitude changed. The person with tie handed over the sales to his junior. They were simply saying if you see prices are low at Lawrence & Mayo online store, you better buy there. A classic case of arrogance. We insisted that it is not about money but about the model we are interested. Then they tried searching in a lower part of their shelves. What I could understand is Lawrence & Mayo displays expensive frames only. The low priced ones are not displayed or they do not want to show us. I beg all not to go to Lawrence & Mayo for their optical needs. The good old days are over. Maybe they will shut shop soon. Sad to see a good brand deteriorate.
