I was referred to pain management and this doctor because of pain in my spine. The doctor secretary called me and spent 15 minutes to discourage me from making the appointment and she said that she was told by the doctor to discourage people from making appointments there if they were expecting pain medicine because this doctor does not believe in prescribing pain medicine and he believes in alternative Therapies. I could not care less about what his personal opinion is, he is a doctor who is in pain management and it is his medical duty to prescribe whatever means necessary to reduce pain and he has no right to insert his opinions into anything but should follow standard pain management protocol. he should have his license revoked. I ended up driving all the way to Parker to go to the emergency room and it turns out I have a synovial cyst in my lumbar spine they had diagnosed me with in 2 hours and admitted me and schedule me for emergency surgery. My problem is real and I could have ended up paralyzed because they wouldn't do anything at Parkview. Their explanation was that there's an opioid problem in Pueblo. I'd like to know what the hell that's got to do with me? I'm 50 years old and I don't take drugs. It's quite obvious that I need pain medicine because I'm scheduled for emergency surgery and i cannot even walk. The pain is like a red hot iron in my back. When you have a secretary telling you that you're not going to get any pain medication at a pain management doctor before he has even seen you are examined you and you find out that the doctor has indeed instructed his employees to say that to the patients before they are even examined is preposterous! this guy should have his medical license revoked permanently

I've tried to post my original post which was so long due to the myriad problems I have endured w. This nightmare of a pain clinic. If you're in need of a pain mgmt doctor- turn the page or skip his link online and find someone else. Trust me; & apparently many others who share this same sentiment! You will NEVER be treated as a patient- more like a thorn in their side and a dollar amount. Beware
I only gave one star because I wasn’t given an option to leave no stars. I tried to reschedule but was hung up on by a secretary with no people skills whatsoever. I didn’t get to reschedule because the wicked secretary hung up on me twice . If you decide to visit this office good luck with the witch that answers the phone
This doctor will see you the first time then turn you over to his registered nurse thereafter. Not for me. I am paying for a doctor visit not a nurses visit. I can get that elsewhere for free.
I had an MRI done in September. I was referred to Dr. Chapman. To just speak to someone in that office,to make an appointment took almost a month. I then finally had an appt for evaluation by Dr. Chapman. He then said samantha will call to set up an appt for the procedure. A week or so later i never received a call. So i reached out, left my info expecting a call back to to just set up a time for the procedure. I called a few more times got the run around about insurance not approved by insurance yet,but it was approved because i called MY insurance. I physically went to the office and asked about an appt and was told well the person that handles scheduling (samantha) was out for the day and she would call me the next day. Guess what ? that never happened. So going on 4 months and no calls. The office staff and (Samantha and Antoinette) are very inconsiderate,don't return calls. They act like you are bothering them. This is an unorganized, unprofessional group of incompetent staff. Don't waste your hard earned money at/on this office. I reccomend colorado spring's or Denver.
