I use to love shopping in this awesome quaint little local business.....one lady we dealt with was the most amazing sales person I had ever encountered....she did all she could to accommodate her customers needs as best she could.....and her personality was amazing... Then we went in today to buy gifts for our wedding party.....gifts I had picked out from a previous visit.....which would have been a significant purchase.....the sales girl and I stress girl and not lady was very rude....and snobbish about how she treated customers and she put us off so much that we chose to walk away instead of making our purchase and we went to Seagull instead.....the selection wasn't as nice but the customer service was 100 times nicer.... My suggestion to Basic Spirit is to be careful of those you hire as that kind of attitude damages you client base....your sales and your reputation.... I went from loving to visit this store regularly to not being able to leave fast enough sadly....

A great gift shop with tons of local artisans. The basic spirit pewter is so well made with lots of creativity. The prices are very good and the staff are very helpful. A real gem while visiting Pugwash!
