A Beautiful and a lovely traditional family run pub. Didn't know this quaint little village existed, so please we found it. The Staff were very friendly and food came out onto hot plates and was freshly cooked to order. The premises has a well kept garden with plenty of sitting areas. The Rising Sun is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We'll definitely visit again.

Very quiet but friendly. Felt confident about covid precautions being followed.

I hadn't visited this pub for 35 years but we drove out of our way to try and find it, with no idea of its name or the village it was in, just a memory of an amazing English pub from my youth. Nine out of ten times these trips down memory lane are a bitter disappointment but on this occasion I was wonderfully surprised. It was every bit as good as my memories, the food was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting, garden bar and pub decor are second to none and well worth a detour. We will revisit

Second visit today to the delightful pub and we will definitely be back, sooner rather than later. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing. Great variety and quality at excellent value for money prices. Large garden which will be lovely when the weather warms up a bit. No dedicated car park, so only available on the quiet residential street outside but don't let this put you off. Even if you have to park a way down the road, it'll be worth it.

Just what we needed after a chilly autumn walk. We entered a very welcoming, almost familiar place. Luckily for us, there was a table free next to the fireplace to warm up our wet and cold clothes. The bartenders catered to our unusual request of tea with rum -to warm us from inside too. We even got some instructions on the quickest path to the bus stop. It might be a detour, but absolutely worth visiting this heartwarming tavern, with a familiar vibe, probably long tradition and rustic style. I hope to be able to eat a meal the next time!
